US declines to comment on ExxonMobil’s cooperation with Rosneft

WASHINGTON, Apr 21 (PRIME) -- The U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin has declined to comment on the news that ExxonMobil had submitted a request on cooperative drilling with Russian oil major Rosneft on Friday.

“I cannot comment on this now,” he said.

Wall Street Journal reported earlier citing its sources that ExxonMobil applied to the U.S. Department of the Treasury to acquire an exclusive right to perform drilling at several fields in cooperation with Rosneft.
